What kind of life insurance plan(s) do I need?

If I were to pass away with the good deal of debt I have, what would happen?
I want to be sure the house will be paid off and my debts won't burden my loved ones. So, which life insurance plan(s) do I need?
And how do you choose a beneficiary and an executor?

First off you have to see where the debt is. If it is with your Credit card company you simply are discharged in most cases. If it to a financial institution for larger debt like home, car, college etc. it may depend on how the arrangement was sent up . This is why you should have some type of policy in force when you die if you care about your family.
